I'm back from spring break - had a good time. Saw my pets, toured my friend from DC around the Twin Cities, saw my friends, went urbexing, went to shows. I got a bridge and septum piercing on Thursday, really glad with how they turned out. The bridge is a little crooked - I remember when I first discovered my ear piercings were uneven, I was so stressed. But since since then I've realised its not that deep. My face is uneven, my body too, why shouldn't my piercings. I got complimented on them by a kid in my dorm just now. I have assumed most people on my floor don't like me, after an encounter with a drunken neighbor where he asked my why I always glared at him. I don't know what gave him that impression, maybe my eyeliner or my deepset eyes, but it gave me the impression everyone here thought that. Maybe I should talk to more people, compliment them.

Spring break has started, campus is pretty empty. I go home tomorrow. Cleaned my room, organised my stuff, cleared my files - feels good but have run out of things to do. I went geocashing yesterday, now that its good biking weather. We found six(!) and visited a very nice record shop we saw along the way. Brought me back to biking around highland as a kid with my friends. When I'm back home I hope to homebrew my Nintendo DSI to make it an e-reader - I'll make a post about it if I am successful. Excited to make my march photolog post too.
March 2025 - My first conference!
I just bought my tickets to Albuquerque for the ANS student conference! I'm very excited to be going to my first conference, and even more my first nuclear conference.
The Trinity site tour is going to be sick, and while I doubt I'll understand much, I bet the technical presentations will be sick as well.
I'm also very excited for the opportunity to see a new city, I love seeing big cities and hopefully I'll get more opportunities like this to see more.
If anybody sees me there you should totaly say hello. I might be difficult to spot in the sea of business formal though.
Anyway, I hope yall are liking the visual updates I'm making to the site - I think its turning out awesome!
January 2025, the year of reading - or so I hope
Finally the new year! Lots to look forward to, lots to learn, and hopefully, lots to read.
In an attempt to ween of the time I spend online (more specifically, doomscrolling), I have taken up
reading! Expect some book reviews and discussions on my articles page, as I hopefully get to write
about some of the things I read.
Of course, I still am facing the brunt of my studies, so I may not have the time I once did. But
I always hope to find the time to come back and update this place.
Until I see you again, happy new year! <3
